Marketplaces charge their percentage on the whole order, including the sales tax the buyer pays, which is why the tax field is here. Fanatics Collect is not in the table: its Buy Now fee is 6% on listings under $120 and graded cards sell in its auctions with no seller fee.

The 2026 fee schedules
- TCGplayer: 10.75% marketplace commission on the subtotal (capped at $75 per product) plus a 2.5% + $0.30 transaction fee on the order total including tax. Pro sellers pay 9.25% plus a 2.5% Pro fee.
- eBay (Trading Cards, no store): 13.25% final value fee on the order total up to $7,500 and 2.35% above, plus $0.30 per order at $10 or under and $0.40 above. Singles that sell for $1,000 or more currently get half off the final value fee.
- Whatnot (US TCG): 8% commission on the sale price (0% on the portion above $1,500) plus 2.9% + $0.30 processing on the order total.
- Fanatics Collect: 6% on Buy Now listings under $120 (15% if priced more than 20% over market); graded cards in the Weekly and Premier auctions carry no seller fee, the buyer pays the premium.
- Mercari: a flat 10% of the item plus buyer-paid shipping, no processing fee.
- Your own store: Shopify Payments 2.9% + $0.30 online on the Basic plan, plus the monthly plan, plus finding your own buyers.
- Local shop buylist: 50-70% of market, cash, no fees, no shipping.

Questions sellers ask
- Which marketplace has the lowest fees for Pokémon cards?
- For a raw single, TCGplayer's 10.75% commission plus 2.5% and $0.30 processing lands around 13.5% all-in, against eBay's 13.25% plus $0.30 to $0.40 per order. Whatnot is 8% plus 2.9% and $0.30, Mercari a flat 10%. The cheapest channel is rarely the best one: the buyer pool decides how fast and how close to market the card sells.
- Is it better to sell Pokémon cards on eBay or TCGplayer?
- Modern raw singles: TCGplayer, where buyers pad carts with singles at market price. Graded slabs, vintage, sealed and lots: eBay, which has the buyers, the photos and the Authenticity Guarantee on cards at $250 and up. At $1,000 and up eBay is also cheaper because of its half-off final value fee on high-value singles.
- How much does a local card shop pay for a collection?
- Usually 50-70% of market value, in cash, the same day. Price the collection from live data first so you know what the discount is, and get two or three offers on anything substantial.
- Do marketplaces charge fees on sales tax and shipping?
- Yes. TCGplayer's transaction fee, eBay's final value fee and Whatnot's processing fee are all charged on the order total, which includes the shipping and sales tax the buyer pays. The calculator on this page includes both.
