How the number is worked out

Each Journey Together pack holds $3.90 of cards on average: the published pull rate of every rarity times the average TCGplayer market price of the cards in it, plus the common, uncommon and reverse holo slots. The Elite Trainer Box has 9 packs, so 9 x $3.90 = $35.10. The promo card, sleeves and accessories are not counted. Expected value is a long-run average: most openings land below it and a few far above, and selling fees come out of what you would net. Full methodology.
