This draft describes how The Lab TCG handles information for the Finance Back Office on thelabtcg.com. The site's main privacy page still applies to the rest of the site: /privacy.
Who this is for
The Finance Back Office is for card shops and live sellers in the United States. It is not open outside the US at launch.
What we collect
When you buy, or when you join the waitlist, we collect:
- Your name and email, as you give them at checkout or on the form
- The exports you send: TCGplayer sales and inventory, an eBay orders report, Whatnot sales, an in-store POS export, and bank statements
- Payment status from Stripe
We do not store your card number. Stripe processes the payment.
The waitlist uses the site's existing signup. That signup also adds you to The Lab Letter, the free Sunday market email. You can unsubscribe in one click.
Data use
Your data may be used, anonymised and aggregated with at least 10 other shops, to build benchmarks that we may sell or license. Your own figures, name and customer details are never sold.
We do not sell a shop's own figures. We do not sell a shop's name. We do not sell customer details from your exports.
A benchmark is only built from a group of at least 10 shops, with names and customer details removed. If a figure would point back to one shop, it stays out.
How long we keep it
The final privacy notice will state how long exports, names and emails are kept, and how to ask for a copy or a deletion. Until that notice replaces this draft, email thelabtcg+privacy@gmail.com with the request and we will handle it by hand.
